Original sin?

Original Sin?

The thought of Original sin crosses my mind
Possibly one of the greatest lies ever given to man from other men.
Possibly the greatest effort of those above to harbor the will of all those below
To force the children to cry out they are vile before they have a chance to in fact discover who they are

That constant reminders of our innate imperfections are the nail to the coffin of our individualism.

That if we adhere to this philosophy there can be no true self and that which is of this nature must be discarded and never shown the light of day
Except in those instances to cast it out in the name of sin committed in the act of want of knowledge.

The fruit that would provided answers is the damnation of man
How is it knowledge is our undoing except for those whose control is only maintained by the submission of this knowledge.

Then again I think to myself
The partaking of this fruit, this red delicious damnation was merely an act of vanity

And who is to say that vanity is not alive and well in our world as has always been so

That the babe of our race was brought out of paradise when the knowledge of right and wrong occurred to them and they decided to do what is only profitable to the self without regard for impact on those around
It is not the sin in want of knowledge, for knowledge will provide the power
It is the downfall to want the power and think of knowledge as secondary
If at all

But then…
Then I think

What if we all are really in a shoe box under Gods bed and tumble weeds rolling down the street are in fact
Fragments of dust bunnies that have fallen through the pencil holes in the lid.
